DISTRICT POLICE GANDERBAL APPREHENDS A DRUG PEDDLER AND SEIZES CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE.

GANDERBAL:_In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested one more Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal and Seized Contraband Substance from his possession.Yesterday evening Police Party of Police Station Ganderbal laid Naka at Saloora Crossing for a routine checking and found one person coming from Qamariya towards Saloora in a suspicious manner. On seeing the Police Party, the person tried to flee from the spot but the swift action by the Naka Police Party apprehended him tactfully and during his personal search, Contraband Heroin like Substance was recovered and seized. The accused disclosed his identity as *Shahid Ahmad Dar S/O Showkat Ahmad Dar R/O Kujjar, Ganderbal.*Accordingly, Case FIR No. *08/2025,* under relevant Sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up. Ganderbal Police requests general public to share information regarding drugs in the area and we assure complete anonymity of the informer.
