Anantnag Imposes Ban on Unauthorized Drone Flights

Anantnag, September 20: The District Police Anantnag has issued a public advisory, strictly prohibiting the operation of drones, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), or any other aerial devices within the district’s jurisdiction without obtaining prior permission from the designated authority. This measure comes amidst prevailing security concerns in the region.​

The advisory, released in the interest of public safety and security, mandates that individuals, various institutions, media organizations, and event organizers must apply for and secure official approval well in advance before planning to operate any such aerial equipment.​Police officials have emphasized that any unauthorized flying will lead to stringent action as per relevant legal provisions.

Additionally, any equipment found in violation of this directive may be subject to seizure.​The public is strongly encouraged to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious drone activity they observe to their nearest police station.
