DIG JSK Range Reviews Border Security in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 26: The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS, conducted a comprehensive security review of the border areas of Arnia, Bishnah, and R.S.Pura in Jammu district today.

During the visit, the DIG met with police officials, Village Defence Groups (VDGs), and Border Security Force (BSF) authorities in sensitive areas such as Aik Nallah, Phaghu Nallah, Chakroi, and Sai. The primary focus of the review was to enhance border security and coordination between various agencies.

The DIG emphasized the importance of joint nakas to effectively monitor movement and address potential threats. He also directed police officials to prioritize public grievances and maintain high vigilance, especially during night hours.

The general public in the border areas has been urged to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activity promptly.
