Kupwara Police Organizes Thana Diwas at Police Post Awoora

Kupwara, 27th February 2025: Kupwara Police successfully organized a Thana Diwas program at Police Post Awoora on Thursday. The event was presided over by DySP DAR Kupwara Gulzar Rashid Magray, SHO Trehgam Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad and Incharge Police Post Awoora Nazir Ahmad and witnessed active participation from a large number of respectable citizens, ex-Sarpanchs, and Lamberdars of the area.

During the interactive session, participants raised various issues concerning civil administration, drug addiction, and civic amenities. Several police-related concerns were resolved on the spot, while issues pertaining to other departments were noted and assured to be forwarded to the relevant authorities for necessary action.

Addressing the gathering, DySP DAR Gulzar Rashid Magray emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining law and order and identifying anti-social elements. He assured that all grievances would be taken up with the district administration for immediate redressal.

The locals appreciated the efforts of Kupwara Police in combating the drug menace and ensuring public safety. DySP DAR Gulzar Rashid Magray reiterated that such community engagement programs provide a platform to understand public concerns and improve policing. He also assured that similar meetings would be conducted in the future to strengthen police-public coordination.
