Grand Daawat-e-Iftar in Baramulla Fosters Unity and Tradition

Baramulla, March 21, 2025 – In a remarkable display of communal harmony and brotherhood, a grand Daawat-e-Iftar was hosted in Baramulla on the third Jummah of Ramadan 2025. The event, organized by Dagger Division, brought together distinguished dignitaries, local leaders, and community figures to celebrate the sacred month in an atmosphere of unity and reverence.

The gathering was graced by prominent personalities from Baramulla district, including Mr. Touseef Raina, Mr. Rewaz Ahmed Nagoo, Dr. Tarik Chalkoo, Mr. Shaikh Amir, Mr. Jubair Dar, RJ Mehak Khurshid, and others. Senior officials like DFO Satyendra Maurya (IFS) and Chief Agriculture Officer Mr. Yadvinder Singh also participated, highlighting the inclusive nature of the occasion.

The Iftar Daawat served as a platform to strengthen ties between the citizens, local administration, leadership, and the Indian Army. The festive atmosphere was enriched with the aroma of traditional Ramadan delicacies, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage. Mr. Barkat, a noted sermon preacher, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to gather as a community, calling it “the most awaited Iftar Daawat in Baramulla.”

Echoing similar sentiments, youth leader Mr. Majid Wani remarked, “This event embodies the essence of Ramadan—coming together, sharing, and supporting one another. It was heartwarming to see people from diverse backgrounds join in this beautiful tradition.”

The initiative was widely appreciated, with attendees acknowledging Dagger Division’s efforts in fostering communal harmony and mutual respect. The Daawat-e-Iftar stood as a testament to the enduring spirit of peace and unity in Baramulla.
