JMC Revolutionizes Solid Waste Management with QR Code and UPI-Based POS System

The JMC has introduced an innovative QR Code and UPI-based Android POS system to streamline the collection of door-to-door solid waste management charges. This cutting-edge initiative aims to modernize waste management practices by integrating technology for enhanced efficiency and transparency.

According to news agency Press Trust of Kashmir that, the new system allows residents to make payments quickly and securely, eliminating cash handling and reducing discrepancies. By adopting this digital approach, JMC not only simplifies the payment process but also takes a significant step towards a cleaner and more accountable city. This forward-thinking initiative sets a benchmark for municipalities across the country in leveraging technology for better civic services.
