Gas Cylinder Explosion’ Leaves Cook, Primary Class Student With Injuries in South Kashmir School

Srinagar: A ‘gas cylinder explosion’ inside a school on Saturday afternoon left a cook and a primary class student with burn injuries at Marhama in south Kashmir’s Anantnag.

News agency Kashmir Scroll quoted an official as saying that a gas explosion occurred at Middle School Jafarpora Marhama Anantnag in which a 50-year-old-lady identified as Hajira and a four-year-old student identified as Zian son of Mohammad Ashraf suffered burn injuries.

Both the injured were initially shifted to SDH Bijbehara, from where they were referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for further treatment, the official said.
