DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews South Kashmir Security, Commends Forces for Amarnath Yatra Vigilance


Anantnag, July 11: Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Nalin Prabhat, conducted a high-level security review in South Kashmir today, reaffirming the UT Police’s commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring the smooth conduct of the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

The review meeting was attended by DIG South Kashmir Range, Shri Javed Mattoo, SSPs of all South Kashmir districts, and senior officers of the Indian Army, CRPF, and BSF. The focus remained on synergy, operational preparedness, and coordination among the security forces.

DGP Prabhat lauded the relentless efforts and unflinching dedication of all security forces in securing the Yatra routes and safeguarding pilgrims. He emphasized the importance of continuous rehearsals of contingency drills to enhance preparedness.

Highlighting the need to dynamically counter emerging threats, he called for regular assessments to identify and rectify grey areas. The DGP also underscored the importance of refining existing security protocols to adapt to evolving challenges and ensure a robust response mechanism.

Reiterating the significance of intensified operations in the hinterlands, DGP Prabhat urged all forces to maintain high alertness levels and continue coordinated anti-militancy operations to sustain peace and stability in the region.
