16-Year-old Student Drowns in River Jhelum at Sopore, Search Launched

Sopore, June 26 : A 16-year-old teenage boy drowned while taking a bath in the Jhelum River near Jamia Masjid Sopore in Baramulla district on Thursday.

An official told, A 16-year-old student from Darul Uloom Sopore drowned while bathing in the Jhelum River near Jamia Masjid.

Student has been identified as, Bilal Ahmad Parry Son of Abdul Jabbar Parry, resident of Rafiabad, he said.

Police and SDRF teams have been deployed and a rescue operation is underway to locate the boy, official said. (JKNS)
