Timely Action by Police Rescues Stranded Passengers at Sinthan Top Amid Fresh Snowfall in Anantnag

Anantnag | May 31: In a swift rescue operation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully evacuated a stranded passenger vehicle at Sinthan Top in Anantnag district after heavy snowfall left it marooned.

The distress call was received by Police Station Larnoo from a passenger aboard a Xylo vehicle (registration number JK17-7352), reporting that the vehicle, carrying eight passengers and a driver, had become stranded due to fresh snowfall.

Responding without delay, SHO Police Station Larnoo, along with his team, braved the harsh weather and treacherous terrain to reach the location. The rescue team safely evacuated all passengers and the driver, ensuring no harm came to anyone.

This timely intervention by the Anantnag Police highlights their unwavering commitment to public safety and emergency response, especially in remote and challenging areas like Sinthan Top.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police has once again urged commuters to exercise caution while traveling in high-altitude, snow-prone areas and to stay updated with weather advisories before undertaking such journeys.
