DISTRICT POLICE GANDERBAL APPREHENDS A DRUG PEDDLER AND SEIZES CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE.

Ganderbal : In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested a Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal and Seized Contraband Substance from his possession.Yesterday evening during naka checking at Harran crossing, Police Party of PS Ganderbal stopped a vehicle (Tata Mobile) bearing Regd. No. JK03H 2841 driven by *Zafar Bashir Bhat S/O Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/O Gundirehman* for a routine checking.During search of the vehicle, 40 strips of Contraband Substance *Spasmoproxyvon-Plus Tablets,* with each strip containing 8 tablets, amounting to a total of 320 tablets was recovered and seized and the accused driver was arrested on the spot. The vehicle used for the commission of the crime was also seized.Accordingly, Case FIR No. *01/2025,* under relevant Sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up. Ganderbal Police requests general public to share information regarding drugs in the area and we assure complete anonymity of the informer.
