Sopore Police attaches property worth lakhs of Proclaimed Offenders

Srinagar, Feb 20:- Sopore Police have attached 4 kanals and 2 marlas of orchard land belonging to two proclaimed offenders.

Police in a statement news agency JKNS said that Afroz Ahmad War son of Mohammad Maqbool War and Maqsood Ahmad War son of Sona ullah War both the residents of Warpora Sopore under Survey numbers 3225, 3950, 3956 and 2384 in estate Warpora Sopore.

This action is connected to Case FIR No. 28/2008 U/S 2/3 EMCO, 120B, 121 IPC and 7/24 Arms Act, police said.

The attachment was executed under the provisions of Sections 82, 83 of CRPC, by a team of Police and Revenue officials, after receiving approval from competent authority, police said.

This measure marks a significant step in the investigation into subversive activities in the area. It underscores Sopore Police’s commitment to countering threats to national security and ensuring peace and stability.—
