Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir reviews progress in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 17:Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Dr. Parvinder Singh Sudan, visited District Ganderbal today to review departmental activities, with a particular focus on the progress of various beneficiary-oriented schemes.

During the visit, Dr. Sudan expressed satisfaction over the achievements in the district, especially the benefits extended to Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). He commended the efforts of the departmental staff and directed them to achieve all assigned targets in a time-bound manner.

Dr. Sudan emphasized the importance of timely completion and online uploading of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination data under the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), along with ensuring accuracy in the ongoing 21st Livestock Census.

Later, the Director interacted with members of the Humsafar Dairy Self Help Group and visited the Tulmulla Dairy Cooperative Society, which has been adopted by the department under HADP. These initiatives aim to promote organized milk marketing and value addition, significantly benefiting local farmers and strengthening the dairy sector.

The visit highlighted the department’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth in animal husbandry through targeted interventions and collaborative efforts with the local community.(TKD)
