LG Manoj Sinha Orders Dismissal of Two J&K Govt Employees for Alleged Militant Links

Srinagar: In a significant move aimed at strengthening the internal security framework, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has ordered the immediate dismissal of two government employees over their alleged involvement in militant activities.

The dismissed employees include Ishtiyak Ahmad Malik, a Senior Assistant, and Basharat Ahmad Mir, who was serving as an Assistant Wireless Operator. Basharat was initially appointed as a Police Constable Operator in 2010.According to official sources, the action has been taken under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to dismiss employees in the interest of state security, without the need for a departmental inquiry.

The administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining zero tolerance towards those found involved in activities threatening the sovereignty and integrity of the Union Territory.
