Cloudburst Claims 4 Lives, Many Injured In Reasi

Srinagar, August 17: Four people were killed and six others injured after a cloudburst struck the Ghati area of Kathua on Sunday.

Officials told that an early morning cloudburst hit three places in Reasi. In the initial report, four people are said to have been killed, while several others are injured.

Police, SDRF and other rescuing agencies have participated in the rescue operation.

According to reports, several houses, a local police station, a stretch of the National Highway in Janglot, and the railway track have been affected by the cloudburst.

The toll may rise as the information is preliminary. Further details are awaited.
