DIG SKR, SSP Anantnag Inaugurate New Welfare Facilities for Police Personnel

Anantnag, March 25(TKD): In a significant step towards improving the welfare of Police personnel, DIG South Kashmir Range (SKR) Shri Javid Iqbal Matoo, accompanied by SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, inaugurated multiple new facilities at various police establishments in the district.

At District Police Lines (DPL) Anantnag, the officers inaugurated an NGO Barrack, a Washroom Block, and a Jawans Barrack, aimed at enhancing accommodation and sanitation facilities for personnel stationed at the DPL. These additions are expected to improve housing infrastructure and contribute to the overall well-being of the force.

Additionally, a General Mess was inaugurated at Police Station Achabal, ensuring improved dining and catering services for officers and jawans. The upgraded mess provides a more comfortable and hygienic environment, reinforcing the department’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel.

Speaking at the event, DIG SKR Shri Javid Iqbal Matoo emphasized the need for modern and upgraded facilities, acknowledging the dedication and service of Police personnel. He reiterated the department’s commitment to ensuring better living and working conditions for the force.

SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy also addressed the gathering, commending the relentless efforts of the personnel in maintaining law and order. He assured that more initiatives will be undertaken to further improve infrastructure and welfare measures for the force.
