Aspiring Doctor Among 2 Killed, Another Person Injured As Private Car Rolls Down Gorge Along Handwara-Bangus Road

Srinagar: A private car on way to Bangus valley in Handwara met with a tragic accident, resulting in death of two persons, including an aspiring doctor, and injuries to an another occupant to the fateful vehicle.

As per details available with Alfaaz – The Words, a private car met with an accident after the driver failed to negotiate a sharp turn along the Handwara-Bangus road stretch.

A medical official told Alfaaz – The Words, that one Saba Shafi, daughter of Mohammad Shafi Baba of Pantha Chowk Srinagar, was killed on the spot and two other on board persons identified as Aliza and Nooran Ahmad Baba sustained injuries.

The injured duo was immediately taken to NTPHC Qalamabad from where the doctors referred them to GMC Handwara for preferential treatment.

However soon after admission, Aliza succumbed to her injuries even as Nooran Ahmad undergoing treatment for his injuries.

The mortal remains of Saba Shafi, who as learnt was in terminal year pursuing her MBBS degree in Bangladesh, lie at NTPHC Qalamabad.
