Social Reform Organisation Kashmir (SROK) Organizes Environmental Awareness Program at GGHS Sumbal

Sumbal, November 16: The Social Reform Organisation Kashmir (SROK) organized a day-long environmental awareness program at Government Girls High School (GGHS) Sumbal in Bandipora district on Saturday. Hundreds of enthusiastic students participated in the event, showcasing their cultural fervor.

The program was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chairman of Kashmir Concern, the Chairman of Rehmatullahi Aalameen Foundation Sheikh Firdous, the Chairman of Chote Taray Foundation Syed Arjuman Mukhdoomi, Headmaster of GGHS Sumbal Mohammad Yaseen Qadri, the Chairman of SROK Ajaz Paul, and Kashmir Timber Association President Jameel Ahmed Dar, among others.

Dr. Towseef, one of the speakers, highlighted the importance of cultivating environmental consciousness among students. “Our students are our brand green ambassadors and the future of our nation. We must instill a culture of environmental protection in our young minds to save our mother earth and promote sustainable development goals,” he emphasized.

Sheikh Firdous, Chairman of Rehmatullahi Aalameen Foundation, underscored the significance of such programs, particularly for female students. “Awareness programs are crucial for our students, especially female students, as they play a key role in environmental socialization. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to SROK Chairman Ajaz Paul for inviting me as a guest to this inspiring event,” he stated.

The event was an engaging and educational experience for all attendees, reinforcing the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development among the youth.
