Anantnag, June 29 (TKD): In a disturbing incident, an unidentified dead body was discovered under mysterious circumstances in an orchard in the Akingam area of Achabal in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
According to police sources, locals noticed the body hanging in the orchard and immediately informed the authorities. A police team promptly reached the scene and initiated preliminary investigations.
“The identity of the deceased is being verified,” officials said, adding that legal formalities have been initiated and an in-depth investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of death.
Cognizance of the case has been taken, and further proceedings are in progress.
