Inferno Engulfs Jammu Railway Station, Consumes Dozens of Shanties

Jammu, June 23: A devastating fire erupted at Jammu Railway Station, destroying up to 30 shanties in its path.

The inferno, first sighted at approximately 6:50 pm, originated from wooden dwellings in the station’s East Colony and swiftly spread to adjacent areas.

Local authorities confirmed that the blaze reduced 25-30 hutments to ashes.

Emergency responders successfully rescued two children trapped amidst the flames.

Efforts to quell the fire are ongoing, with fire crews deployed on site, although challenges remain in fully containing the blaze.
