Midnight Collision in Srinagar Claims One Life, Leaves Another Injured

Accident

Srinagar, June 29 (TKD) – A tragic road accident during the midnight hours near the Shalteng area of Srinagar claimed the life of one man and left another injured, officials confirmed on Sunday.

According to an official, the incident occurred at approximately 12:40 AM when an auto-rickshaw was struck by another vehicle near Shalteng.

Both individuals involved in the accident were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, one of them, identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar and a resident of Shah Gund, Bandipora, succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

The injured has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Malla, son of Abdul Salam Malla, also a resident of Shah Gund, Bandipora. His condition is reported to be stable, and he is currently undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the accident.
