Srinagar, Sep 14: Several parts of the Kashmir Valley on Sunday recorded above-normal day temperatures as heatwave conditions continued across the region, data from Kashmir Weather revealed.
Data available stated, Srinagar registered a high of 32.6°C, nearly 5°C above normal, while Qazigund touched 32.2°C, which was 5.7°C above average for this time of the year.
Pahalgam recorded 27.2°C, Kupwara 32.6°C, Kokernag 30.8°C, and Gulmarg 23.8°C, all between 3°C to 5°C above their respective normals.
In Jammu division, the temperature in Jammu city stood at 33.8°C, with Banihal and Bhaderwah both close to 29°C. Batote recorded 26.1°C, while Katra was comparatively cooler at 28.2°C, which is nearly 2°C below normal.
In Ladakh, Leh recorded 25.6°C, and Kargil settled at 29.1°C, the figures added. (KNC)
