Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has dismissed four employees on Tuesday over accusations of their involvement in anti-national activities.
The dismissed employees include two constables from the Police Department, one Junior Assistant from the School Education Department, and one Village Level Worker from the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. Their dismissals were enacted under Article 311 of the Constitution of India due to their deep involvement in activities detrimental to state security, as evidenced by law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, a constable in the Police Department and son of Mohammad Akram Lone from Gamraj, Tral, District Pulwama, was found to be supplying, transporting, and facilitating the delivery of arms and ammunition for terrorist activities.
Bazil Ahmad Mir, a Junior Assistant in the School Education Department and son of Manzoor Ahmad Mir from Khurhama Lalpora, District Kupwara, was identified as a trafficker of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, with direct ties to the terrorist-secessionist ecosystem.
Mushtaq Ahmad Pir, a Selection Grade Constable in J&K Police and son of Abdul Ahad Pir from Kalmoona, Vilgam Handwara, District Kupwara, was involved in running a drug cartel in North Kashmir, establishing contacts with narcotic drug smugglers across the border in Pakistan.
Mohd. Zaid Shah, a Village Level Worker in the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and son of Hassam Ul Din Geelani from Basgran, Uri, District Baramulla, was a key player in the narco trade, receiving substantial consignments of heroin from drug smugglers across the LoC in PoJK. He was instrumental in generating funds for the terrorist-secessionist ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards anti-national elements who have been taking advantage of their positions in government service,” the order stated, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to national security.
