Budgam, Mar 14: The health department in Budgam has initiated an investigation to trace individuals responsible for circulating an ‘old video’ of the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora on social media.
The viral clip, showing a dog sitting on a doctor’s chair inside the hospital, sparked reactions online, with many calling it a serious concern.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam, Dr. Ayoub, dismissed the video as outdated and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of government hospitals.
“The hospital is continuously upgrading with new equipment, but some miscreants are trying to defame it. The incident was staged, as someone deliberately let the dogs in while staff was attending to a patient in an adjacent ward,” he said.
He further assured that an inquiry has been launched, and legal action will be taken against those responsible for spreading misinformation.
“We are investigating the source, and those found guilty will face legal consequences,” Dr. Ayoub added.
