SRINAGAR, June 24: A massive fire broke out on Monday, causing extensive damage to the Bazar Masjid in the Bohri Kadal area of central Kashmir’s district Srinagar, officials reported.
An official from the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) stated that fire tenders quickly reached the scene to combat the flames. “By the time the fire tenders arrived, the Bazar Masjid had already suffered significant damage,” he said.
Firefighting operations are ongoing to prevent the fire from spreading further. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
