Two Minors Killed in Tragic Accident in Kulgam

Kulgam, 13 October 2024 – In a tragic incident, two minor pedestrians lost their lives after being hit by a speeding tipper in the Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district earlier this morning.

The accident occurred at around 08:55 hrs when the tipper struck two young children, identified as Amaan Aijaz, son of Aijaz Ahmad Malla, aged 3, a resident of Yaroo, Damhal, and Mantaha Aijaz, daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Wani, aged 12, a resident of Damhal Kulgam.

Both children succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The local police arrived at the scene promptly, and further details regarding the incident are awaited as investigations are underway. The accident has left the community in shock, and the police are expected to take appropriate action following their inquiries.
