Gujarat Tourist Dies of Cardiac Arrest in South Kashmir

SRINAGAR, June 18: A tourist from Gujarat died of cardiac arrest in the Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.

An official reported that the tourist, Shah Hansaben (52), wife of Mahendra Bhai and a resident of Vadodara, Gujarat, experienced chest pain while traveling in a mini bus at Vessu Qazigund, Kulgam.

She was promptly taken to GMC Anantnag for medical attention, but doctors declared her dead on arrival, attributing the cause of death to cardiopulmonary arrest.

Authorities have initiated further proceedings regarding the incident.
