NCORD Meeting: Drug abuse control measures reviewed at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, JULY 20: A significant meeting was today convened at Ganderbal to review the effectiveness of the district’s anti-drug initiatives..

The meeting held in the V.C Room of the DC Office by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Mohammad Altaf aimed to ensure a drug-free environment within the district.

The meeting was attended by the key officials from various departments, including the General Manager of District Industries Centre, Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarter, Chief Agriculture Officer, Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, and other concerned officials.

The ACR emphasized the importance of a coordinated effort to combat drug abuse in Ganderbal. He highlighted the necessity of a robust system to monitor and evaluate the ongoing anti-drug initiatives. He also underscored the critical need for regular awareness campaigns targeting youth, to educate them about the dangers of drug abuse.
He directed the officers to intensify their efforts and foster closer collaboration in the fight against drugs.
Additionally, the ACR instructed the concerned officials to work seamlessly to ensure the implementation of effective anti-drug strategies at the grassroots level.

This collaborative approach aims to strengthen the district’s capacity to tackle drug-related issues more effectively.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all departments to enhance their efforts in combating drug abuse and to work towards making Ganderbal a drug-free.
