Tral Tragedy: 12-Year-Old Boy Loses Life, Six Hurt in Heart-Wrenching Seminary Fire

Tral, April 6: In a tragic turn of events, a late-night blaze engulfed Darul Uloom Shah Hamdan, an Islamic seminary in Tral, leading to the death of a 12-year-old boy and leaving six other students injured.

The young victim, Yasir Bashir from Kuchmulla village, was sleeping alongside fellow students when the three-storey structure caught fire during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Despite frantic rescue efforts, Yasir could not be saved.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as flames rapidly spread through the building, forcing students to flee in panic. Dozens were evacuated safely, while six others sustained varying degrees of burn injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

The cause of the devastating fire remains unknown as police have registered a case and launched an investigation. The incident has left the local community in mourning, as families and residents struggle to come to terms with the loss of a young life and the trauma inflicted on others.
