Lineman Suffers Injuries in Rajbagh;Union Ensures Swift Medical Care

Srinagar,8 Aug (NewsEye):A lineman, Abdul Qayyum, suffered minor injuries after falling from a ladder while performing electrical maintenance work in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar. The incident occurred in the evening hours and has led to Qayyum being admitted to the (SMHS) for treatment.

Following the incident, immediate action was taken by the Electric Employee Union including Mushtaq Ahmad Najar, Maqbool Ahmad Rinev, Mohammad Ashraf Beigh, and Manzoor Ahmad Ahkhoon, accompanying Qayyum to the hospital and ensuring his care. Qayyum’s condition is currently stable, and he is receiving treatment at SMHS Hospital.

These incidents underscore the crucial need for safety gear in the workplace, as linemen are frequently seen working without essential protective equipment, leading to preventable accidents in the valley. The administration must mandate and enforce the use of safety gear among employees to prevent such incidents. (NewsEye)
