Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Tavera in Kokernag

Anantnag, Sep 12 : A motorcyclist was killed after his two-wheeler collided with a Tavera vehicle in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident involved a Tavera and a motorcycle at Buchoo Kokernag. The motorcycle rider, identified as Showkat Ahmad Wani (36), son of Mohd Afzal, resident of Adigam Kokernag, sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.

He was initially rushed to Anantnag hospital for treatment and later referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

After completion of legal formalities, the body will be handed over to his family for last rites.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.
