Audit week 2024 : Principal Accountant General J& K organises blood donation camp and WorkshopBy Rameez Makhdoomi

The office of Jammu and Kashmir Principal Accountant General organised on 18 November, 2024 a series of events with reference to Audit week 2024.

A blood donation camp was organised and it saw an impressive collection of 59 blood points ,while keeping the spirit of Humanity upright 59 Employees of Jammu and Kashmir Principal Accountant General donated this blood at Headquarters in Srinagar. This blood donation camp was organized in consultation with Lal Ded Hospital.

A colorful Rangoli competition started the day.

Dr. Mohammad Muzaffar Jan, Medical Superintendent, LD Hospital, Srinagar, attended the event as Chief Guest and lauded the AG Office for organizing this life saving initiative. Senior officials Shri Ravinder Singh, Sr. Deputy Accountant General, and Shri Pawan Kumar Rathee, Deputy Accountant General, were also present on the occasion.
As a matter of fact, three day workshop involving eminent experts on Audit was also inaugurated at Srinagar office. On inaugural day eminent Scientists and Professor from Kashmir University Dr. Majid Zaman threw light on diverse aspects of Audit in his elucidated lecture covering different dimensions of it. He threw light on growing uses of Artificial intelligence on Audit and how to acheive more efficiency in the overall Audit parameters.
Deputy Accountant General Audit ( Administration) , Ravinder Singh also observed that through Audit week they aim to raise mass awareness on diverse aspects of working of office of Principal Accountant General Office Jammu and Kashmir, and also increase interest of youth in all important subject of Audit ,which is key to National progress.
As a matter of fact from 16 November Audit week is being celebrated with series of attractive activities of public interest.
