Police Organizes Medical Camp on Drug Abuse In Anantnag

August 30: Under the aegis of Civic Action Programme-2025 and in alignment with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Police in Anantnag organized a comprehensive Medical Camp on Drug Abuse at Kokernag near SDM office. The initiative was aimed at addressing the growing concern of substance abuse and promoting general health awareness among the local population.

The camp witnessed the active participation of qualified doctors, police officers, and members of the local community. During the event, doctors provided medical treatment and counselling to individuals affected by drug addiction. In addition, the camp extended health services to patients suffering from heart ailments and those using cardiac medications, ensuring broader healthcare coverage.

Senior officers from the police administration emphasized the significance of community engagement in the fight against drug abuse and reiterated the police department’s commitment to public welfare through such outreach initiatives. They also encouraged individuals struggling with addiction to seek help and assured full support from both the police and medical professionals.

Police remain steadfast in their mission to build a drug-free and healthy society, and such initiatives will continue to be a regular part of their community outreach programs.
