DDC Ganderbal presides over one-day workshop for Awaas Plus 2.0 surveyors

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today presided over one-day workshop cum training program for surveyors deployed for the Awaas plus 2.0 survey under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) here in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The surveyors deployed for the initiative received hands-on training on the mobile application and technical aspects of data collection. This training aims to ensure accurate and seamless registration of eligible beneficiaries.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the transformative potential of PMAY-G 2.0 in enhancing rural housing and living standards.

He urged the survey teams to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left unregistered and directed them to strictly adhere to the scheme’s guidelines.He further emphasized the need for inter-departmental cooperation to facilitate smooth implementation and error-free data collection.The event was organized by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Ganderbal. The training program was aimed to equip surveyors from Gram Panchayats with the necessary skills to conduct surveys using the Awaas Plus Mobile Application.

Master trainers imparted detailed training to the participants, emphasizing the importance of Aadhaar authentication and adherence to SOPs and exclusion processes.Earlier, ACD Ganderbal highlighted the purpose of the training program. He provided an in-depth overview of PMAY-G 2.0, emphasizing its key objectives, implementation strategies, and benefits for rural households.

A live demonstration of the online registration portal was conducted, showcasing its functionality and ease of use.The training program included a question-answer session, during which the master trainers clarified the doubts of the participants.The successful implementation of the Awaas Plus 2.0 survey is crucial for the effective implementation of PMAY-G, which aims to provide affordable housing to rural households. The training program is a significant step towards achieving this goal, and the administration is committed to ensuring that the survey is conducted in a fair and transparent manner.The workshop was also attended by senior officers including Chief Planning Officer, BDOs and other officials of RDD.
