Don’t Understand Why Omar Abdullah Will Not Support It: PDP’s Parra on Art 370 Resolution in House

Srinagar 04 Nov (CNS): After bringing resolution in the Legislative Assembly for the restoration of Article 370, PDP MLA Waheed ur Rahman Parra on Monday said that he does not understand why Omar Abdullah will not support it.

As per the news agency CNS, Parra said that the resolution was brought against the BJP’s move and not against the National Conference.

“We hope that Omar Abdullah will support this resolution. We are seeking restoration of J&K’s original form that is Article 370, 35A and Statehood… I don’t understand why Omar Abdullah will criticize it and not support it.

He said that the resolution was brought in the house so that the people would get to know that promises made to them are being fulfilled.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah while criticising the PDP’s move said that it was done for optics whereas the same could have been discussed beforehand with them.

“The resolution brought today does not have any importance except for cameras. If it (resolution) had any motive then they would have talked with us what should come today from the house,” Omar said.

Besides Omar Abdullah, the resolution seeking restoration of Article 370 was vehemently opposed by BJP in the house. (CNS)
