850 Rescued by Larnoo Police After Landslide at Margantop’s Nawkan Mode

In a commendable act of efficiency and courage, the Larnoo Police Station led a large-scale rescue operation, saving nearly 850 stranded passengers and drivers after a sudden landslide hit the Nawkan Mode area of Margantop.

The operation, executed under the leadership of SHO DYSP (Probationer) Atti Ur Rehman and PSI Birender Singh, was initiated immediately after an emergency alert was received through ERSS Helpline 112. Over 150 vehicles were stuck on the treacherous mountain road, prompting a swift and well-coordinated response from the police force.

The police personnel braved harsh terrain and weather to ensure the safety of all commuters, transporting them to safer zones and managing the traffic situation with utmost professionalism.

The Larnoo Police Station has advised the public to remain vigilant while traveling through landslide-prone high-altitude areas and to stay informed through official weather updates.
