Srinagar: Putting the several week slugfest with Sub-judge Ganderbal to rest, the incumbent District Development Commissioner Shyambir Singh has tendered his unconditional apology, maintaining that ‘there has never been any deliberate or wilful attempt to interfere with the administration of justice.’
In the case of Noor Mohammad Gojar Chichi and Ghulam Hassan Gojar Chichi versus State through Commissioner Secretary Revenue Civil Secretariat Srinagar & Ors., the Court of Sub Judge Ganderbal said that Shyambir Singh Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, who is facing criminal contempt before Hon’ble High Court of J&K having been referred by this Court, appeared and filed an application seeking apology.
“A written apology in the form of affidavit has been filed stating therein that there has never been any deliberate or wilful attempt to interfere with the administration of justice and that in view of the contempt proceedings drawn by the Hon’ble Court of Ld. Sub-Judge/Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal against the deponent, the deponent therein tenders his sincere apology in the instant matter,” reads an order, a copy of which lies with Alfaaz – The Words.
“The apology in the shape of an affidavit has been attested by Executive Magistrate 1st Class Ganderbal.”
“This court provided sufficient time to the respondent-Mr. Shyambir Singh Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal to ponder over his apology. The respondent verbally reaffirmed that he is tendering the apology sincerely and he undertakes that he will not cause any interference in the judicial functions and will always respect the courts of law,” reads the order.
“The apology has been placed on file and a copy of the same is submitted to Hon’ble High Court of J&K and Ladakh for further kind orders in light of the apology tendered before this court,” adds the order.
