Srinagar, — On the blessed arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikh Sameer, Author, Activist and Editor of The Kashmir Dialogues, extended his heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to the Muslim Ummah across Jammu & Kashmir and the world.In his message, Sheikh Sameer said that Ramadan is not merely a period of fasting but a sacred journey of self-purification, patience, compassion and spiritual awakening. He emphasized that the holy month teaches discipline, empathy for the underprivileged, and strengthens the bonds of brotherhood, unity and humanity.He appealed to the people to use this sacred time for prayers, charity, forgiveness and social harmony, and to remember the needy, orphans and marginalized sections of society. He further stated that Ramadan provides an opportunity to reform oneself morally and spiritually while promoting peace, coexistence and mutual respect in society.“May this holy month bring mercy, peace and prosperity to our land, heal hearts, and guide humanity towards compassion and righteousness,” he said.Sheikh Sameer also prayed for peace, stability and well-being of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and hoped that the spirit of Ramadan inspires collective responsibility, kindness and unity among all sections of society.
