Kupwara, December 17, 2024:The residents of Dapal and Mishri Bhak of District kupwara took matters into their own hands and manually cleared the snow from the roads following the recent heavy snowfall in the area. Despite repeated appeals to the District Administration and the present government, no action was taken to clear the roads, leaving residents to struggle with daily commutes and essential activities.

The community had earlier urged authorities to address the issue promptly to avoid further inconvenience, but the absence of timely action compelled the locals to step forward and clear the snow themselves. Their efforts highlight the growing frustration among residents due to administrative negligence in far-flung regions during harsh winters.

The residents have once again appealed to the District Administration and the government to prioritize snow clearance operations in these remote areas to prevent such challenges in the future.(TKD)
