5 Soldiers Injured, Two Critically, in Kathua Attack

Jammu, July 08: Five soldiers were injured, two of them critically, in a militant attack in Kathua on Monday.

Sources told the news agency that militants targeted an army patrolling party near the Badnota area, resulting in the injuries.

Two critically injured soldiers were shifted to Sub District Hospital Billawar for advanced treatment, while the remaining three were admitted to a local hospital.

Following the attack, reinforcements from the police and army rushed to the area and launched a massive cordon and search operation to apprehend the attackers. Further details are awaited.
