Massive forest fire breaks out in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Feb 09 (KNO): Massive forest fire broke out at Bonibagh Cherwan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District on Sunday.

Locals told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the fire broke out this evening and has spread to a vast area. “Fire erupted in the forest compartment 69-S. The area under fire is very dense in range,” they added.

An official told KNO, “Efforts are on to douse the flames. We are trying our best. We have succeeded in stopping it from spreading to the adjoining areas.”—(KNO)
