Ex-gratia relief under J&K Road Accident Victim Fund 2022 provided at Kupwara

KUPWARA, JANUARY 20: Under J&K Road Accident Victim Fund-2022, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Mohd Rouf Rehman today handed over a cheque of Rs.1 lakh as ex-gratia relief to the Next of Kin (NoK) of deceased person who died in a road accident at National Highway Matipora Drugmulla. ARTO Kupwara, Bilal Ahmad Mir was present on the occasion. The objective of J&K Road Accident Victim Fund 2022 is to provide immediate succor to the dependents/legal heirs of the persons killed/injured in road accidents in passenger cum private vehicles. Earlier last week, the District Level Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan sanctioned the ex-gratia relief in favour of the NoK from Kalaroose who lost their son in a road accident. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the committee members to ensure speedy disposal of the cases relating to death/injury in road accidents so that the dependents are provided compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund rules.
