DISTRICT POLICE GANDERBAL LAUNCHES VERIFICATION DRIVE ON SIM VENDORS IN THE JURISDICTION OF PS GUND.

GANDERBAL24TH, DECEMBER 2024: As part of its ongoing efforts to curb the rising instances of fraud and to prevent misuse of mobile phone SIMs, District Police Ganderbal today launched a verification drive on SIM card vendors in the jurisdiction of PS Gund.The drive aims to verify the authenticity of documents submitted by subscribers and to ensure that SIM vendors are adhering to the guidelines set by the government and to ensure that their SIM connections are verified.Further, POS venders were directed to maintain proper data and SIM cards must be issued only after proper verification of the antecedents of subscribers.The ongoing verification drive emphasis the commitment of Ganderbal Police to curb the menace of fake sims.
