New Delhi, July 31 (KNC): The Election Commission of India (ECI) has completed the preparation of the Electoral College for the upcoming Vice-Presidential Election 2025.
In a statement issued by the Commission as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Electoral College comprises elected members of the Rajya Sabha, nominated members of the Rajya Sabha, and elected members of the Lok Sabha, as mandated under Article 66(1) of the Constitution.
“In compliance with Rule 40 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Rules, 1974, the Commission has finalized and updated the list of members of this Electoral College, arranged alphabetically based on the State/Union Territory of their respective Houses,” the statement read.
The updated Electoral College list will be made available for purchase at the Election Commission of India’s counter following the issuance of the official notification, which is expected soon. (KNC)
