2 tourists injured in Srinagar Road Accident; One in critical condition

Srinagar, Nov 21: Two tourists sustained injuries in a road accident on the National Highway in Srinagar’s Lawaypora area after their taxi collided with a truck.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, and both tourists were immediately rushed to Noora Hospital for medical treatment.

According to sources, the collision caused significant injuries to Asma Sheikh and Shabir Ahmad, both residents of Bangalore.

While Shabir Ahmad’s condition is reported to be stable, Asma Sheikh is said to be in critical condition, and doctors are closely monitoring her health.

The local police have registered a case regarding the accident and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

Authorities are also examining whether any traffic violations contributed to the incident.

This road accident adds to concerns over safety on the busy National Highway, which sees heavy traffic throughout the day, especially with an influx of tourists during the peak season.

The police have urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules while traveling on the highway.
