ACB Raids 5 Patwari Offices in Jammu Amid Major Land Scam Probe

JAMMU, June 25: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today carried out raids at five offices of Patwaris in Bhalwal and surrounding areas in connection with a major land scam unearthed by it recently involving Revenue and other officers.The offices where day-long raids were simultaneously conducted today include Patwar Offices of Bhalwal, Kot, Seri, Barn, and Amb. Officials from the ACB confirmed that records have been seized during the raids for further investigations into the alleged land scam.The ACB had recently uncovered a significant land scam in the region, allegedly implicating several Revenue officers and other influential individuals. The raids mark a crucial step in the ongoing probe to ascertain the extent of corruption and malpractice in the management and distribution of land in the area.Further details regarding the seized records and potential charges against the implicated officials are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
