Srinagar: In a sharp political attack, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunil Sharma on Monday accused Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of evading responsibility and creating misleading narratives instead of focusing on effective governance.
Speaking to reporters, Sharma claimed that while Omar Abdullah often gives the impression of being in control, he often deflects responsibility by stating he has no power when it is time to deliver. “These are failed leaders who have no concern for the poor. Now, the competition is about real development, not excuses,” he said.
Sharma also confirmed that the Government of India will provide compensation to those affected by the recent floods. He stated that the process is currently under review and that his party is committed to ensuring that relief reaches all the victims.
