Man gets Rs 5000 fine for using mobile phone while driving in Qazigund as Traffic Police tightens noose against traffic violations

Kulgam,Feb 24 (VOI): The Traffic Police conducted a special enforcement drive today in Qazigund to crack down on traffic violations, particularly those involving riding without helmets and triple riding on two-wheelers. The drive was led DTI Tariq Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Traffic Qazigund-Kulgam Mohd Aslam.

During the operation, numerous violators were penalized, and several bikes and scooters were seized for non-compliance with traffic regulations. The authorities emphasized the importance of adhering to safety measures, urging all two-wheeler riders to wear helmets and refrain from triple riding to safeguard their lives.

Additionally, strict action is being taken against minors caught driving bikes or four-wheelers without a valid driving license. The Traffic Department has appealed to parents and school authorities to educate students about the dangers of underage and unlicensed driving.
