SANKALP Hub organises awareness prog on drug de-addiction in G’bl

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 12: An informative and impactful awareness programme on drug de-addiction was organized at Government Degree college Ganderbal.

The programme was organized by Department of social welfare in collaboration with Sankalp Hub For Empowerment of women, Mission shakti Ganderbal.

The initiative aimed at educating students and faculty about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of seeking help for recovery.

The event featured expert speakers Dr.Afshan from Health Department and Advocate Tanveer Mohammed from District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal, who shared insights social effects of drug addiction and laws about Drug addiction Like NDPS act.

Both the speakers Highlighted the role of school and college management in identification of substance abusers and there remedial measures thereof.

Thrust was also given to the psychological and social Aspects of Addiction. Detailed deliberation on various aspects of drug addiction and preventive measures especially on youth were also made.

All participants pledge to never indulge in any kind of substance abuse.

The event received positive feedback from the attendees, with many expressing their appreciation for the informative session.

The program succeeded in creating awareness among the students about the adverse effects of drug abuse and the importance of making healthy life choices.
