Fire Broke Out In Handwara Village, House, Cowshed Damaged

Srinagar, April 1 (GNS): A residential house and cowshed was damaged after fire erupted on Tuesday morning in Village Hatchmargi area of North Kashmir’s Handwara.

Officials told GNS that a fire erupted in the house of Jagangir Ahmad Badhana in Village Hatchmari this morning and soon engulfed cowshed.

Army from the nearby Haphruda immediately alerted Fire& Emergency Services team at Chowkibal. Acting promptly after being alerted, fire tenders reached to spot and quickly brought fire under control with the assistance of army and locals. Meanwhile, there was no loss of life reported in the incident.

The army camp Hafruda also provided immediate relief to the affected family by providing food, ration, blankets and other necessities.(GNS)
